I love those moments in life, that just as you're walking down the street, or maybe folding clothes, you discover yourself for just a few seconds, and say "Ah, there you are again. I've been looking for you." It's a presence of extreme peace, where in the middle of all the turmoil, you can just be happy of who you are and where you are, and just breathe easy.
Today was a rainy day, and I discovered my self again while walking in the rain, letting my hair get soaked. Today I've discovered that I'm a sea creature. I love the cloud of moisture that clings to my face and hair, and even finds itself in the deepest part of my clothes. I don't wear boots on days like these, I wear flip flops because I like to feel the wet gravel on the bottom of my feet. I try to pretend I don't like getting wet; I constantly complain about taking showers, but I like the rain.
Rainy days enchant me, and on these days I feel like I'm in a parallel universe on a parallel, perfect world. Something happens when it rains to make everything coexist. Colors bleed into each other, the sky melts into the pavement, along with traffic lights and shoes reflect in puddles; even music blends into the air, giving it life and meaning. Anger and pain don't exist on rainy days. I care about nothing but the moment of life that I'm experiencing. And that's when I find myself, walking on the sidewalk, pretending I'm a fish out of water.
